Andorran Euro Pattern Coins Andorra has issued its own coins in the past, so please watch this space for further news.

Andorra uses the Euro, although it has not produced any euro coins of its own.
Before the advent of the euro, the Andorrans used either French or Spanish coins, and most shops would accept either currency. As France and Spain have now adopted the euro, the situation in Andorra has simplified, and Andorra simply uses euro coins and notes produced by any and all of the other member states of the EU. Although in the past there have been a number of Andorran commemorative coins issued, there appear to be no plans to issue euro coins. If the situation ever changes we will add Andorran euro coins to this page.
As at March 2003, we hear there are plans to make an unofficial set, but these are still at an early stage. We doubt if any coins will be available before September 2003. Watch this space.

Andorran Euro Coin Sets
We hear that Andorran euro coin sets exist, but these are merely sets of French or Spanish euros packaged in "Andorra" packaging, so that they are not an Andorran euro coin set.

Unofficial Patterns
On a number of previous occasions, especially before major coinage changes, pattern coins have been produced as a design exercise or to test public opinion. Many of these have been privately produced. A privately produced pattern set of British euro coins has already been produced, and met with intense demand, despite almost negligible marketing. Original priced at around �40, these have changed hands for over �250 on e-bay.
It is entirely possible that a unofficial Andorran Euro coin set may at some stage be produced. If so, we will try to obtain some. Watch this space!
